The Sunday Match Vodafone Warriors vs The South Sydney Rabbitoh’s .
The Vodafone Warriors have there record fifth win in a row, marking their seventh win in eight games, outbashing the South Sydney Rabbitoh’s in a physical contest to win 12-6.
Both teams were fired up for the contest as the Warriors looking forward to win the game to continue their momentum into the bye round, while the Rabbitoh’s were eager to get their season back on track with a much-needed win to keep them in touch with the top eight
Victory for the Warrior’s means that they now sit in a comfortable position in 6th place before automatically collecting the 2 points for the bye round, which could see the Warrior’s lift as high as 2nd place on the table.
Despite the low-scoring final result, the contest could have easily been high-scoring affair, with the Vodafone Warriors being denied several times by the video ref.
As early as the fourth minute, centre Shaun Berrigan looked to have crossed in the corner to score the first try of the match, only for the video replay to show that Rabbitoh player Chris Sandow had punched the ball out of Berrigan’s grasp moments before he had crossed the try line.
The bad luck for the home side’s scoring tries continued as Locke being disallowed a try from dummy-half and Mannering having his try disallowed as well when the video ref discovered that Inu had stepped on the sideline in the build up to the try.
